Jen Burch

Jen is a deputy head teacher whose expertise lies in curriculum design, subject leadership and KS1 leadership. As part of her work through the LALA programme, Jen has worked alongside staff to shape a highly engaging and creative curriculum and has effectively supported subject leaders in developing their understanding and ownership of their roles. Jen is passionate about building a curriculum which is relevant to the children in their setting and focuses on the core skills and knowledge of a subject area. Jen also leads the Year 2 moderation meetings for reading and writing, supporting KS1 colleagues across the Trust. This year she has also worked with another colleague to plan and deliver training sessions for the NQTs within her hub. Jen is keen to use her areas of expertise to support other schools within the Trust.
