Amy Lock

Amy Lock is an experienced and talented  teacher with over 10 years’ experience teaching in primary schools across Suffolk. During her career she has worked as a Lead English Teacher and has used this to support colleagues in her own school, across Suffolk and within the Trust. She has completed the SSAT Lead Practitioner Accreditation with a focus on developing primary writing standards. Amy has many years of experience teaching Year 2 and has recently taken on the role of Raising Standards Lead due to her expertise in analysing gaps in learning and planning intervention to close these gaps quickly.  In her role as English Lead at Pakefield Primary School, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that all children develop an enjoyment for writing and make rapid and sustained progress. This has mainly been through the successful introduction of Talk 4 Writing across the school. This has also involved working with a number of other schools across the trust offering support and advice on how to implement Talk 4 Writing successfully within their own schools. This has included delivering staff meetings in other settings and team teaching. Due to her knowledge and expertise in developing Primary Writing Amy was asked to present at the International Festival of Learning in 2018.
