Jake Allcock

Jake is part of the leadership team at Highfield Ely Academy. He has extensive experience in special schools. He specialises in primary age pupils; especially those with communication, interaction sensory and behavioural challenges. He has a passion for individualised learning. Over the last two years, Jake has successfully overseen the creation and implementation of a new curriculum. As well as playing a major role in the introduction of a new assessment system, designed around EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones. In 2018 Jake successfully completed the LALA course, where his focus was on improving progress for Non-verbal and limited verbal learners. He is also a trained SEND reviewer. Jake has a deep knowledge and understanding of SEND and is well placed to offer support, guidance and ideas to both mainstream and special school colleagues.
