She has held a diverse range of school based roles, which have been academic and pastoral. In addition to this, Trudy was seconded for two years to assist with planning for the SWISS partnership. This involved working with both secondary education providers and post-16 providers to develop and implement curriculum offers in a collaborative manner. Whilst in this role, Trudy increased participation by sharing best practice as well as developing and coordinating projects to raise aspirations for disadvantaged students. Trudy has also served as a teacher Governor for 7 years and more recently was Chair of Governors at a primary school.

Throughout her career, Trudy has helped to improve the outcomes for many of our most disadvantaged students; she is passionate about ensuring equal opportunity for all and is keen to share best practice. In her current role, she is responsible for the progress of all students, acts as the link for core subjects, and remains an active teaching member of the Maths department. As a Raising Standards Leader, Trudy’s expertise is in identifying opportunities to enhance outcomes for students; this involves the analysis of data, developing strategies, and leading the implementation of interventions. Trudy also has oversight for Pupil Premium funding. Trudy is a PiXl Associate and recently completed the Exceptional PiXL Headteacher Programme.
