Summary

Zack is a Canadian trained teacher of English, History, and Media Studies; he joined the English Department at Neale-Wade Academy in September of 2017 and has since worked to improve whole school results, develop teaching staff, and provide students with valuable extracurricular opportunities. In early 2019, Zack began working towards completion of the Active Learning Trust’s Lead Practitioner Accreditation Program. While on this course, Zack led a whole school project on classroom applications for
metacognition, aimed at providing teaching staff with the skills necessary to increase student’s cognitive awareness. This year, Zack has also worked alongside the Academy’s Oracy Lead in an effort to improve student learning through the development of verbal skills. Academically, Zack has a keen interest in the field of Educational Psychology and hopes to pursue a relevant Masters level qualification in the near future.
