Josh Wilkes

Josh is an Assistant Headteacher, who is responsible for Teaching and Learning across two primary schools and is a KS2 Phase Leader. His range of experience has been acquired through having taught in a four-form entry, National Teaching School, in London before moving to Lowestoft to teach in a one-form entry school. Josh has experience of teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. He has successfully completed a MEd as well as LAL, LAL Advanced and the National SENCo Award. Josh has driven curriculum development and effective subject leadership across both of the schools he works in, which has led to improved standards and discipline in all subject areas. Through LALA, Josh has developed a range of leadership strategies and has been able to orchestrate rapid change at both schools as a result of this understanding. Josh also has a strong understanding of Phonics and has led training in both London and Suffolk schools. His knowledge of Phonics has led to standards being raised in reading across the schools he works in.
