Stuart McKenzie

I am an experienced Sport Instructor who works part time teaching PE from reception up to year 6. With the support of the nurture team I also run a number of active interventions designed for fine and gross motor skills development. I have recently completed my Level 5 in Primary PE specialism and management and this enables me to design an engaging curriculum that develops not just the physical but social, personal, health and fitness, cognitive and creative skills in pupils. The school offers over 20 sports clubs which I organise and have introduced a number of new initiatives such as: Active classrooms (Moki), Farm club, ‘This Girl Can’, Panathlon (SEND), Balance-ability, Health club, Sports leaders, Les Mills Fitness and Succeed-in registers. I have also mentored and coached both teaching and support staff to support the delivery of high quality PE within the school.
