Viviana Lagos

Chilean born Viviana is a qualified teacher who has chosen to work as a teaching assistant in the UK. Her Outstanding practice supports EAL children across all key stages at Red Oak. Being bilingual herself – as Spanish is her first language - she has a creative and enthusiastic approach which reflects her love for languages. Her own experience as an EAL enriches her practice supporting EAL pupils in the classroom at different stages of their language learning. Viviana also mentors and supports other staff to deliver resources, support materials and differentiated work for the EAL pupils. She thrives on promoting the cultural diversity we have within our school and also leads a daily Spanish club. Viviana has excellent knowledge of language acquisition and willingly supports colleagues across the hub schools.
