Active Learning Trust is delighted that Phil Beecher has been named CFO of the Year at The Optimus Education MAT Excellence Awards. 

Phil has been transformational since joining our trust in September 2023. He has led and contributed to meaningful change and delivered significant value both to finance and to the wider trust.

His contributions include: £250K of extra income, mentoring, a new finance system, GAG pooling, £150K of savings and designing a new appraisal model, all while also being interim CFO at another trust for part of the year.
