We are delighted to announce that Phil Beecher has been appointed as Director of Finance for The Active Learning Trust.

Phil is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Broad Horizons Education Trust, where he had previously held the role of Director of Finance. He is also Chair of Audit and Risk Committee for Inspiration Trust and Trustee/Chair of Audit and Risk Committee for St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust. Prior to working in education, Phil was the Financial Controller for a NHS Trust, following 5 years at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.

Along with his extensive experience, Phil brings with him a strong commitment to the sector and a passion for making a positive difference to young people. He has also just completed his MBA through the apprenticeship route.

Phil's appointment is part of an exciting period of change for The Active Learning Trust. Following our new CEO, Lynsey Holzer, joining us in January we have already seen many significant developments and positive changes across the Trust. This has included welcoming Karl Jackson, Deputy CEO and Director of Education, and Chris Everard, Director of Operations, to our Executive Leadership Team.
