Following an invitation from Gary Peile, Dr Coffey, MP for Suffolk Coastal, visited Reydon Primary School on Friday 3rd May 2019.

During her visit, Dr Coffey visited each of the classes and heard first-hand from Headteacher Jo Viner about the school’s journey to ‘Good’.  The children were keen to ask Dr Coffey about her views on Brexit and if she thought that it would ever happen, and also, her opinion of the Prime Minister, Teresa May.

The children described to Dr Coffey the work of the school’s Eco Committee, and, as part of this, their recycling initiatives; this work was of interest to Dr Coffeey particularly given her current ministerial role in the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Dr Coffey also heard about the election of school council members, by their own classmates, and urged those elected to keep the promises made in their election speeches.
