The Active Learning Trust invites teachers to come and meet with Chief Executive in Ipswich

Teachers across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire are invited to the Active Learning Trust's first information seminar on Tuesday 6th May to address some of the myths about academies and give some insight into working with a schools trust.

With 11 schools across the region the Active Learning Trust is a schools trust with a difference. Led by experienced and successful educators, the Trust aims to create a small but thriving network of local schools sharing resources and best practice to support school improvement.

Whilst each school retains a strong individual identity, all Active Learning Trust schools have a focus on the individual child, encouraging a love of learning that will inspire all children to achieve their potential.

Clive Bush, Chief Executive of Active Learning Trust said: "Our vision for our schools and our approach to education is all underpinned by the best quality teaching and we are on the look out for the best teachers in the region to come and join our community.

"We know that there is a lot of scepticism about academy sponsors amongst the teaching profession and we wanted to give teachers an opportunity to come and meet with us to get behind all the media hype and find out what we are really about.

"We offer all our staff the opportunity to be part of a learning community, served by the very best experts in the field so that our CPD, whether web, school or area based is bespoke to the school and the needs identified by the people who matter, our school staff.  We actively encourage innovation and creativity and support our colleagues in bringing life, activity and energy into the classroom."

Teachers in the region will have the chance to come and speak to Clive Bush as well as ALT headteachers from Suffolk and Cambridgeshire at Belstead Brook Hotel in Ipswich on Tuesday 6th May from 4-7pm.
