March and Fenland, Cambridgeshire

Start date: January 2021

Salary is expected to be circa £100k - £110k plus additional benefits, with more possibly available for an exceptional candidate

Neale-Wade Academy is a large mixed, mainstream, secondary school in Cambridgeshire. It caters to students aged 11 to 18 and has circa 1,400 pupils enrolled. The Academy is set in spacious grounds and enviable premises close to the centre of the market town of March. It converted to an academy and became the founding member school of the Active Learning Trust in 2013. The academy is committed to bringing out the best in everyone. Our mission is to enable all students to “dream, believe and achieve”. We promote the aspirational approach that anything is possible and encourage all of our local community to reinforce this notion. We are committed to working in very close partnership with both parents and carers to foster a strong relationship that enables all of our students to be fully supported and happy children.

We are now looking for an exceptional, committed Principal with a proven record in educational leadership to share our ambition and strategic vision to build upon the Ofsted ’good’ rating and to create an outstanding educational experience for all pupils. You will guide our academy in its next stage of development and continue the journey of shaping it into a centre of excellence within the Active Learning Trust. Your energy and enthusiasm will inspire, challenge and empower all members of the academy in achieving the vision, and fostering an environment in which learning thrives.

It is an exciting challenge, and we are looking for an inspirational leader with a passion for children’s education, strong commitment to raising attainment and improving performance, and a high level of tenacity and initiative. You will have a successful track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning for all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and a clear commitment to equality of opportunity, inclusion and a culture that celebrates diversity.

In return, we offer you the opportunity to lead and further develop a school that has a strong leadership team, an enthusiastic staff, a committed local governing body and pupils who are curious, receptive and willing to learn. You will be a part of a supportive trust, which is committed to achieving excellence in educational delivery and student attainment and is passionate about developing the communities it serves.
