TLR available for the right candidate

Required from September 2019

Cromwell Community College, a member of the Active Learning Trust, is a good school which aspires to be outstanding.  We look to our Social Sciences Faculty to be a driving force towards this aspiration.

Criminology and law are both being introduced as new subjects at A level from September 2019.  Due to the popularity of these subjects, we are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher to join our successful humanities team at Cromwell Community College.

We are a popular, oversubscribed and successful school.  We are currently undergoing a large expansion of the secondary phase by 1FE, but we will also become the first all-through (3-18) school in Cambridgeshire in 2020.  It is imperative that we ensure our pupils access a curriculum which is relevant and ambitious throughout their journey at Cromwell.

The Social Sciences Faculty at Cromwell consists of sociology and psychology.  Criminology and law would join this faculty.  The successful candidate may be required to teach humanities subjects at KS3 in addition to a largely A level timetable.  Pupils enjoy their humanities lessons and staff are hardworking, enthusiastic and committed.  This is an excellent time to join the faculty to support the College’s drive to become outstanding.

If you are enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate about humanities and recognise its importance for the development of all pupils, and will strive to provide excellent results in our already successful faculty, we would like to hear from you.

Cromwell Community College offers the chance to join a strong and experienced team and for you to develop your skills and enhance your career development through a wealth of CPD opportunities which is a particular strength of the Trust.

Salary: MPS/UPS

Closing Date: 26 April 2019, 12.00pm
