Head of Governance (hybrid and part-time working available)

At the Active Learning Trust we recognise the importance of high-quality governance at all levels and its pivotal strategic function. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Governance with a real passion for driving improvement through strong Trust governance. This role is the lead governance professional in our Multi-academy Trust and involves responsibility for all aspects of governance and compliance.

The appointee will provide strategic leadership to the governance service and ensure the adherence to good practice and meeting all statutory and regulatory requirements. At the same time lead on the development of the Trust’s governance framework and drive improvements to its systems, processes and structures.  

This is an exciting opportunity to help improve the life chances of children and young people, and to work with dedicated, knowledgeable colleagues across our Trust Board, central team and academies.

Assistant Director of Finance

Hybrid working available to suit the appointee and needs of the Trust or a base at one of our academies could be an option. There will be a frequent requirement to travel to our Trust central office (Chatteris) and all of our academies

We are seeking to appoint an additional Assistant Director of Finance for our Trust central team. You will support the Director of Finance to ensure robust financial management of the Trust's academies, driving performance improvement and ensuring the finance team provide a high-quality finance service to the Academies and other relevant stakeholders.
