Sidegate has been awarded the GOLD Artsmark. During 2014/15, we were a pilot school under the Arts Council’s new Artsmark programme. We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the GOLD standard. This reflects the high quality arts and culture curriculum that we are offering our pupils. A huge thanks goes to all of the staff and volunteers who have made this possible, especially Mrs Ryder and Mr Howden whose inspiration and leadership has driven the process. The projects we have planned for 2015/16 - Flux Dance, Dance East Pyramid Project, Stained Glass Window, Samba for our Rio Olympics and Pigs Gone Wild ( www.pigsgonewild.co.uk ) - will enable us to further embed the arts curriculum.
